In her soon-to-be biography, “The Woman in Me,” Britney Spears admits that her public relationship with Justin Timberlake wasn’t all it seemed, and that she had an abortion during their relationship.
In her memoir, Spears states on page 74, “There were a couple of times during our relationship when I knew Justin had cheated on me.”
“Especially because I was so infatuated and so in love, I let it go, even though the tabloids seemed determined to rub my face in it. At one point when we were dating, I became pregnant with Justin’s baby,” she relates.
“It was unexpected, but it wasn’t tragic in my opinion. I cherished Justin a great deal. However, Justin was undoubtedly unhappy with the pregnancy.“
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had the public’s attention for a significant portion of the early 2000s. When Spears began dating Timberlake, when he was eighteen and she was seventeen.
A passage from the singer’s autobiography that People was able to access states that by the time they ended their relationship in 2002, they had gone through both a profound love and a miscarried pregnancy.
Spears called her choice to undergo an abortion at the time “one of the most agonizing things” she had ever gone through in her memoir.
However, things weren’t always terrible while they were in the spotlight and in the throes of love. The duo seemed to be very much in agreement at one point in their lives, from their meet-cute as young members of the Mickey Mouse Club to their matching attire.
